Map corporate egg use. Decide where the impact is.

The Eggstimador turns the Open Wing Alliance Eggstimation method into a tool: it estimates how many eggs each company buys, always as a range, and turns that into priorities, coverage milestones and a multi-year campaign plan.

Free for any organisation. Try it with a fictitious country or make your country’s with the step-by-step assistant.

Eggs per year · 90% rangefictitious companies
  1. Tiendas Tucán482M
  2. Panificadora Nube103M
  3. Mayonesas Dorada48M
  4. Desayunos Amanecer14M
  5. Resorts Puerto Sol5M
  6. Pizzas Lunares302k

In this fictitious example, the largest company uses 1,594 times the eggs of the smallest. That is why everything reads on a log scale.

01 What it does

The OWA guide, step by step, without dropping a single range.

Every figure carries its best guess, its 90% range and its provenance. The tool flags when a rate leaves its sector’s believable band and makes clear what comes from the guide and what is an assumption.

  • National picture

Supply × each sector’s share × corporate share, with the guide’s default ranges by country type.

  • Five sector models

Retail, restaurants, manufacturers, catering and hotels, each with its Part 4 model, sense checks and hard bounds.

  • Provenance on every figure

Found or estimated, source tier, verified by a person, shared references, and a ready-to-paste instruction for an AI agent.

  • Reconciliation

Company sums against sector ranges, compared like-for-like, as Part 5 asks.

02 Beyond the map

From how many eggs to which campaign is next.

The guide tells you which companies use the most eggs. Pardalis’s strategy layer answers what to do about it: whom to press first, for how long, and how many hens the organisation can move in five or ten years.

  • A real 90% range

A Monte Carlo simulation of the whole map. Companies that share a reference move together, so the totals don’t look more certain than they are.

  • What to research next

Value of information: which single figure, if pinned down, could change your campaign portfolio, and which ones would change nothing.

  • Campaign order with momentum

Simulates years of campaigns: concurrent capacity, win odds, lengths, retries, and how each win makes the next ones in its sector easier.

  • Hens at the deadline

A commitment covers tomorrow’s business: each company’s growth is carried to its deadline, and committed companies get a non-compliance risk.

Win probabilities, campaign lengths and the momentum effect are editable assumptions, labelled as such in the tool. They are calibrated with each organisation’s campaign history.

03 Method

It gives the same numbers as the guide.

The calculation engine has automated tests that reproduce the worked examples in "Mapping Corporate Egg Use" (2026 AI edition). If a change breaks one, it does not ship.

The Eggstimador is an independent, free Pardalis Data tool, built as a contribution to the cage-free movement. It builds on the Open Wing Alliance method and cites it at every step; it is not an official OWA product. The method belongs to OWA and stays free: the tool does not charge for it.

  • US hotels (Part 3): ~1–4 billion eggs
  • Sodexo Belgium (Part 4): 0.05 / 0.11 / 0.2 eggs per meal
